Our Materials and Techniques

Rugs are made in different ways, so are the materials used in making them as well as the design. Sometimes the design of the rug requires the type or material to be used.

Our mechanically woven rugs are made with 100% Polypropylene heat-set yarns, polyester, polyamide including jute which is a natural fiber, to provide our customers with a wide range of designs and textures. The technology and material in which our rugs are made enable them to be Stain-safe, easy to clean and bleach cleanable, our textures range from soft low piled rugs with shiny luster, to luxurious, soft high piled polyester carpets. Our Premium and Luxurious rugs are Unique and Elegant and comes in all shapes sizes and colors.

Our handmade rugs are produced with natural material such as silk and wool dyed in vibrant colors to produce bespoke rugs for our customers around the world.

Wool

The wool used in production is from sheep skin imported raw from New Zealand, it is then cleaned machine spinning and transformed into yarns and thread, dyed and ready to be woven into beautiful rugs. The New Zealand wool is one of the best and known for its durability it is a plain straight wool with high sheen. On the other handspun wool is hand-spun by hand giving it an uneven count which gives it a natural abash beauty in a rug it is one of the best wools used in our hand-knotted rugs.

Silk

Accented with silk material to usher in the sheen on to our rugs is the bamboo silk made from the bamboo plant, it grows quite fast and vast, usually very strong and long too. After being specially treated and spun into yarns, it is used to produce more complex and classic rug designs.

Techniques

Two different weaving techniques are mostly used for our hand-made rug production although both being hand-made, one is the hand-knotted Persian Weave 100 Knotts and the other is the Tibetan weave 100 lines, these fine Knotts allows us to produce durable, more complex and abstract rug designs with high standard detailing as we do not cut corners or compromise on quality.
